Present day United States is by far the most diverse country in history. From Black to White, Asian to Hispanic, there truly is a wide range of different cultural backgrounds within this great country.
However, despite so much diversity, there seems to be an increase in the ethnostate ideology. Radical groups such as white nationalists and neo-nazis misinterpret President Donald Trump and begin to radicalize their agendas. On the other side, radical groups such as Black Lives Matter spew far left ideas. Although BLM began as a pure movement to raise awareness of police brutality toward African Americans, in 2018 it had completely devolved and began excluding anyone but their own race from marching or even showing up at many events. Today, both sides of the far political spectrums attempt to rid the other races from their presence. White hate groups view others as inferior and Black hate groups view others as evil (Typically not other minority groups though).
This type of exclusion based on race is very dangerous and detrimental to society.
Historically speaking, this is like playing with dominoes. One race groups excludes, then the dominoes begin to fall. Race groups begin to include other races, and again the dominoes fall.
If we, as a society, begin to turn our political focus away from race-based arguments, away from looking back into the past to see to evils that America has done in the past, and away from the racist media, then racial harmony would ensue.
